Dr. David Rasteiro
Graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon and specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery from the Hospital de São José de Lisboa.
Among the various international internships completed, the internship in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at the Pietà Clinic in Curitiba, Brazil, under the guidance of Dr. Ruth Graf, winner of dozens of awards and honors, and at the Hospital for Craniofacial Anomalies of the University of São Paulo – Centrinho, stands out.
In New York, he dedicated himself to breast reconstruction at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and also completed an International Fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery in the Netherlands (Erasmus MC) and Switzerland (Laclinic).
He also volunteered at the AL Makassed Charity Hospital in Amman, Jordan.
He was also a guest speaker in postgraduate courses at the Autonomous University of Lisbon; monitor of the Microsurgery Course at the New Faculty of Medical Sciences, monitor of the Upper Limb Flap Course at the New Faculty of Medical Sciences and published articles, free communications and posters that were exhibited at national and international scientific meetings.
He was the promoter of the first Body Sculping HTECH course in Portugal in partnership with the prestigious Sculping Academy, run by plastic surgeon Dr. Osvaldo Saldanha.

BREAST INCREASE
Choosing the type of prosthesis in breast augmentation surgery is one of the most important aspects to take into account, as well as the experience of the plastic surgeon.

BLEPHAROPLASTY
Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure that aims to restore and give a more youthful appearance by removing excess skin and fat pads from the eyelids.
Blepharoplasty has a rejuvenating power on the face, as it eliminates the effects of age and gravity in the eye area.
Blepharoplasty can be performed on just the upper eyelid, lower eyelid, or both.
In some situations, excess skin and ptosis (falling) of tissues of the upper eyelid is so pronounced that it can compromise the visual field and vision.
On the lower eyelid, "pockets of fat" and excess skin become evident, contributing to a less youthful expression.
Blepharoplasty does not treat wrinkles in the corners of the eyes or raised eyebrows.
Additional procedures such as botulinum toxin application or eyebrow lifting can be combined.
BLEPHAROPLASTY
Upper blepharoplasty can be performed under local anesthesia.

OTOPLASTY
Otoplasty is a surgical procedure that allows the correction of prominent ears.
Corrects ear deformities, such as abducted ears, known as "protruding ears".
Through otoplasty, the shape, position and proportion of the ear are improved.
It is a relatively simple, safe and effective surgery that can be performed on both adults and children from the age of 5, the age at which the ear cartilage has reached its maximum development.
When otoplasty is not performed by the age of 6, it can cause significant stigma in the child, interfering with their development and self-esteem.
Otoplasty can be performed on children but it is a fact that many people reach adulthood with this problem, perhaps because they are unaware of the existence of this surgery.

RHINOPLASTY
Rhinoplasty, a surgical intervention on the nasal pyramid, aims to improve both the aesthetics and respiratory function of a patient.
Crucial dimensions such as size, projection and labionasal angle are meticulously evaluated and improved to transform not only the nose but also the facial expression as a whole.
In terms of aesthetics, the most commonly addressed areas are the back and the tip of the nose.
When the objective of rhinoplasty is functional, several pathological conditions, such as deviated nasal septum, hypertrophy of the turbinates and nasal polyps, can influence respiratory function.
Nose plastic surgery is generally considered a low-pain procedure, with most patients experiencing more discomfort than pain.
